Dear Little Hoopers Families,

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our new pathways designed to enhance the experience for players and parents at Little Hoopers. These pathways will help track progress, encourage learning, and ensure everyone is getting the most out of our program. The official start date for these pathways will be on the 1st of July 2024, and we will use June 2024 to ease into these new programs.

Players’ Pathway: SkillQuest

We are excited to introduce “SkillQuest,” our new milestone-based pathway for players. This pathway is tailored to each age group and includes sets of milestones categorised by difficulty: Green (easy), Amber (intermediate), and Red (difficult). Here’s a breakdown of our programs:

Each player will receive a progress book to track their milestones and achievements. These milestones will be assessed by the Head Coaches, who will sign off on each milestone. At the end of the month, players will be awarded certificates privately based on their achievements.

Players can also collect stickers or signatures from coaches for their attendance. A sticker is the same as a signature; choose whichever you prefer!

Parents’ Pathway: SupportQuest

We value the role of parents in their children’s basketball journey. “SupportQuest” is designed to help parents understand the game of basketball and support their children’s progress. You will be given sets of milestones and tasks to complete, ensuring you are actively involved in the Little Hoopers experience.

We will also introduce Parents’ Evening meetings once every quarter, typically on a Sunday evening. These meetings will be conducted virtually, providing updates on the program and a Q&A session. Those signed up for our newsletter will receive a written update following the meeting.

Hoopers Festivals, Intra Competition & Award Ceremony Night

LH is introducing Hoopers Festivals, which are themed events held at different dates throughout the year, typically during half terms. Festivals are similar to basketball camps where players book onto half or full days. Players will be taking part in sessions that focus on basketball and fun. Our festivals are not just camps; they are festivals where children get to learn the game of basketball while also having other opportunities to have fun at various stations such as bouncy castles, dance battles with our mascot, colouring stations, chill zones, food station etc.

Parents will be able to drop their children off in the morning and pick them up in the afternoon. All festival dates will be announced by August for the year of 2024/25, with the first festival scheduled for October Half Term from Monday, 28th October to Friday, 1st November.

The Intra Competition events invite all the Little Hoopers Hubs to a centralised venue to compete against each other in fun games. These will also be announced in advance, and all details will be made available through our website.

Finally, we will introduce an Award Ceremony Night for all Little Hoopers members which will be held in the month of August each year. The first Award Ceremony Night is scheduled for August 2025.
